Suzanne Vincent

Suzanne Vincent is the editor-in-chief of Flash Fiction Online. That’s what people think anyway. Actually, she’s really a pretty ordinary middle-aged woman packing a few extra pounds and a few more gray hairs than she’s comfortable with. As a writer, she leans toward the fantasy spectrum, though much of what she writes is difficult to classify. Slipstream? Isn’t that where we stick stories when we just can’t figure out where else they go? Suzanne’s first professional publication was right here at FFO, published before she joined the staff: “I Speak the Master’s Will,” — a story she’s still very proud of. While she doesn’t actually have time to blog anymore, she once did. You can still read her ancient posts on writing at The Slushpile Avalanche. Suzanne keeps a house full of kids (3), a husband (1), and pets (too many to number) in Utah, USA. Yes, she’s a Mormon. No, there isn’t another wife. Mormons haven’t actually practiced polygamy since the 1890s. Too bad. She’d love to have another woman around to wash dishes and do laundry.

Stewart C Baker

Stewart C Baker is an academic librarian and author of speculative fiction and poetry, along with the occasional piece of interactive fiction. His fiction has appeared in Nature, Lightspeed, and Flash Fiction Online, among other places, and his poetry has appeared in Fantasy, Asimov’s, and numerous haiku magazines. Stewart was born in England, has lived in South Carolina, Japan, and California (in that order), and now lives within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya in western Oregon, along with his family—although if anyone asks, he’ll usually say he’s from the Internet.

Lauren Ferebee

This is Lauren’s first fiction publication. She is an award-winning theatremaker whose plays have been produced in New York and developed throughout the US. Critics have praised her work as “exquisite” and “a fine balance between laugh-out-loud absurdity and gut-wrenching human drama.” Upcoming highlights include a Chicago reading of her play Every Waiting Heart in Artemisia’s 2018 Fall Festival and three monologues from her play The Reckless Season featured in the 2018 Best Stage Monologues book series (Smith & Kraus). She is currently studying for her MFA at the University of Arkansas. Find out more about her work at www.laurenferebee.com.

Carrie Cadwallader

Carrie wrote her first book, about an elf named Snickerdoodle, at the age of nine, and has never stopped writing. She recently finished the first novel in a planned four-books series and hopes to have it published soon. She spends her days in the “exciting” world of corporate finance, where she uses her creative talents in more mundane pursuits.

Carrie is a Colorado native who lives near Denver with her husband, two sons, an unreasonably intelligent Siamese cat and the world’s most timid German Shepherd.
